We have for review the decision in Saia Motor Freight Line, Inc. v. Reid, 888 So. 2d 102 (Fla. 3d DCA 2004). In this case, the Third District held that "the trial court may award costs pursuant to a final judgments reservation of jurisdiction despite a partys failure to comply with the 30-day time period set forth in Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.525." Id. at 104. The Third District agreed with the Fourth District Court of Appeals decision in Fisher v. John Carter & Associates, Inc., 864 So. 2d 493 (Fla. 4th DCA 2004). The Third District certified conflict with the Second District Court of Appeals decision in Gulf Landings Assn, Inc. v. Hershberger, 845 So. 2d 344 (Fla. 2d DCA 2003), and the Fifth District Court of Appeals decision in Wentworth v. Johnson, 845 So. 2d 296 (Fla. 5th DCA 2003). The Third Districts decision is also in conflict with the decision of the First District Court of Appeal in State Department of Transportation v. Southtrust Bank, 886 So. 2d 393 (Fla. 1st DCA 2004). We have jurisdiction. See art. V, § 3(b)(4), Fla. Const.
